It is safe to say that Wolves had a questionable summer transfer window at best, and some already have eyes on January.
Wanderers are currently bottom of the Premier League table having taken just two points from seven games.
Wolves were all at sea in the first few weeks of the season, especially at the back.
There were a string of really poor performances, and Vitor Pereira was also not helped by the fact that Wolves did a lot of their transfer business late.
It won’t be long before the January window opens, and that will give Wolves a chance to strengthen – and perhaps atone for their poor summer.
Wolves have no non-homegrown player slots at the moment, so would need to get players out in order to free up space for new signings.
But there will be a chance of that happening, with Liam Keen reporting Wolves are set to be active in the next window.
Liam Keen shares Wolves’ potential transfer plans for January

One of the biggest gripes for a lot of fans about the summer was that Wolves did not sign a new midfielder.
Tommy Doyle and Boubacar Traore were both loaned out earlier in the window, but Wolves then failed to bring in cover.
Ladislav Krejci was brought in, with the Czech defender capable of playing in midfield.
But Wolves are still light, and E&S journalist Liam Keen reports that the club are likely to make that a priority in January.
He said on the latest E&S podcast: “I think that’s going to be pretty fluid. Things change in the market and they’re going to have to be adaptable at times.
“Let’s look at what they need and what they’re going to go for. A new midfielder is on the shopping list – that is for certain. They didn’t get one in the summer, they’re definitely going to want a midfielder, it’s an area they want to do some business in in January. That’s definitely on the shopping list.
“Another one I’d say, would be a winger or 10 depending on the formation we’re talking about. But Wolves don’t really have any out-and-out fast one-vs-one kind of wingers. Someone like a Neto or Adama Traore.
“I’m not saying you have to regenerate those two players because that’s difficult to do. But that kind of style of footballer Wolves don’t really have, so that’s a player the club will be looking at going into January.”
New midfielder essential for Wolves
It is already looking like Wolves will have to get busy in January, and the acquisition of a new midfielder will be paramount.
As good as Krejci has looked playing in midfield, the Czech star has also had a brilliant impact on the defence and arguably needs to stay there.

Pereira does just need an out-and-out midfielder to provide cover for Andre and Joao Gomes.
Hayden Hackney was a player Wolves eyed in January but ultimately didn’t move. He is crucial for Middlesbrough and would be difficult to sign, but it’s worth keeping an eye out for any developments with him as being homegrown, Wolves could just land him without having to offload someone.
