Wolves are eager to add to Vitor Pereira’s squad over the summer transfer window.
The Old Gold completed the signing of Fer Lopez to kick off the 2025/26 transfer activity, but ever since, things have gone quiet.
That was until the past few days, as it’s become clear that Wolves are set to sign Jhon Arias from Fluminense after intense discussions.
It’s not only the highly-rated Colombian winger who is on Pereira’s radar, as Wolves are also looking at Marc Pubill of Almeria.

Wolves see Marc Pubill as a Nelson Semedo replacement
The Spanish second-tier side value their right back in the region of £16m, which is more than the £13m offer that AC Milan are thought to be plotting.
Wolves are currently pushing to sign Pubill, who, at only 22, could bring a youthful spark to Pereira’s back line.
It’s thought that the Spaniard will be a replacement for Nelson Semedo, who is yet to decide his future, despite having a contract offer on the table from Wolves.
On the E&S Wolves Podcast, host Liam Keen shared what he knows about Wolves’ admiration for Pubill.
“A player that they like, a player they’ve opened early talks with, and this is because we’re not going to see Nelson Semedo in a Wolves shirt, so that’s important to mention.”
Keen went on to elaborate on Semedo’s future before identifying Pubill as the figure who could succeed the Portugal international at Molineux.
“Wolves are working on a replacement, and Marc Pubill is a player that they like and a player they could see being that potential replacement as well.”
The fullback has been at Almeria since 2023, where he’s managed to become a regular in the first team, picking up valuable experience before a potential move to the Premier League.

Wolves see a life without Semedo
Signing a right-back is a must for Wolves this summer, as Semedo’s future looks to be away from WV1.
Going back to what Keen said about Semedo’s situation, the Wolves expert doubled down on the ‘expectation’ that the club captain will move on to a new club.
“Wolves are preparing for life without him; there’s an expectation that he’s not going to be around.
“Obviously, that four-year contract has been on the table, but we’re expecting he will probably sign elsewhere and not be a Wolves player.”
Semedo is a free agent after his Wolves contract officially expired on June 30th, with his future in his hands as he considers his next move, something the Old Gold will want to know promptly.
