Wolves are going to be busy this summer, and a name that refuses to go away is Conor Coady.
Conor Coady left Wolves in the summer of 2023 after eight years at the club, although he spent his final campaign on loan at Everton.
He was not in the plans of Bruno Lage or Julen Lopetegui, and sealed a move to Leicester City.
Coady has been at the King Power Stadium for the last couple of years and has just suffered the first relegation of his career.
That will have been deeply disappointing for the player, and there has been some talk about what the immediate future holds for him this summer, when he’ll have one year left on his contract.
Wolves looked at re-signing Coady in January, with a swap deal involving Craig Dawson being proposed.
And on the latest E&S podcast, journalist Liam Keen made a suggestion about the former captain going into the next window.
Conor Coady predicted to make Wolves return

Ever since that shock claim that Wolves tried to bring Coady back in January, there has been interest in Coady’s movements and updates around the player.
He was hugely popular during his time at Wolves, and some would like to see him come back to the club.
Of course, Wolves have a good pool of centre-back options now, and Coady would likely have to accept a squad player role if he did come back.
A fan asked about the chances of Coady returning on the latest E&S podcast episode, and Liam Keen suggested there could yet be a chance we see him make the move.
He said: “Well the fact they tried to go for Coady in January I think is telling. I’m going to say ‘Keen’. It doesn’t mean it’s going to happen. But I think there’s a chance.”
Coady was serenaded by Wolves fans when he returned to Molineux recently, which was something that rather moved the player.

Coady one to watch for Wolves this summer
A move for Coady surely can’t be ruled out this summer, especially given that approach in the last transfer window.
Dawson is leaving the club, and the former skipper just seems like a natural replacement for him.
The only possible stumbling block would be if he’d be content not playing too much. Because Wolves do have better options right now, and could even further strengthen.
But we have seen Vitor Pereira place huge emphasis on togetherness and connection in the short time he’s been at the club.
One gets the feeling that the Wolves manager believes Coady would be a very good fit for the dressing room at the moment.
