Wolves are set for a busy month in the transfer window, and it looks as though one player is currently attracting interest from West Ham United and Julen Lopetegui.
Wolves are expected to sign Emmanuel Agbadou this week, after the club agreed a fee with Reims.
Reims president Jean-Pierre Caillot has already confirmed there’s an agreement over Agbadou.
And Wolves fans are set to get a glimpse of their prospective new signing, with Agbadou set to attend Molineux for tonight’s game with Nottingham Forest.
But it’s possible we could also be seeing some outgoings this month.
Right now, Mario Lemina is linked with Al-Shabab and seems like the most likely exit all of a sudden.
But now, it’s been suggested Hwang Hee-chan has interest from West Ham.
West Ham interested in Hwang Hee-chan transfer

Hwang Hee-chan was the subject of a bid from Marseille in the summer.
It was thought to be worth around £21 million, but Wolves turned it down, with Gary O’Neil a big fan of the player.
After all, Hwang had enjoyed a terrific 2024/25 season, finishing as the club’s joint-top scorer alongside Matheus Cunha.
Hwang is back in form now having scored in back-to-back games under new manager Vitor Pereira, and it seems he has alerted West Ham United, who are of course managed by Julen Lopetegui.
According to The Telegraph, West Ham have drawn up a list of targets and Hwang is on there, along with Evan Ferguson of Brighton.
It’s stated that West Ham ‘would ideally like to take players on loan this month’, but there would surely be next to zero chance of Wolves sanctioning a loan move for Hwang.
What Hwang Hee-chan said about Julen Lopetegui
Wolves are probably unlikely to sanction an exit for Hwang this month, unless West Ham present a big offer.
The South Korea international has just found form again after a tricky start, and looks to be a player who is appreciated by the new manager.
But it’s interesting to note that Hwang – who was described as ‘excellent’ by O’Neil – rather enjoyed working under Lopetegui at Wolves, and was left impressed by him just days after his arrival at the club.

Appearances – 109 |
Goals – 24 |

He said of the Spaniard just days after he arrived (via Wolves official): “He has been at the highest level with the likes of Real Madrid and Spain national team. I think there’s a lot for me to learn from him. I’ve been in his training sessions, and even though I’ve been with many managers in the past who are detail-oriented, he really made me think, ‘Wow, he’s willing to go this far for the smallest detail’.
“He’s giving us many detailed tips. Working with many different managers in some ways has a very positive impact on me as a player. Every manager has his own style and strengths, so I try to learn as much as I can from them tactically.”
Hwang also talked Lopetegui up as ‘such a nice person’ (via Wolves official), just weeks after that first verdict.
