Hwang Hee-Chan has been a huge hit during his loan spell with Wolves so far.
It has been reported that Liverpool and Manchester City are monitoring the situation with the intention of swooping in January.
The latest is that the Reds want to try and sign Adama Traore, using the fact that Wolves need the funds to sign Hwang.
But when it was put to the Athletic’s Wolves correspondent Tim Spiers that the club need to sell to buy Hwang, he refuted it.
Despite a frugal summer transfer window, it appears Wolves do have the money there to buy Hwang in January.
They would likely be a step ahead of Liverpool and City, having already negotiated the loan with RB Leipzig in the summer.
And Hwang seems happy and settled at Molineux, performing well and enjoying his football.

It would be wise for Wolves to get that advanced deal sorted and seal the future of Hwang as soon as possible.
He fits into Bruno Lage’s style of football and gives Wolves an alternative goalscorer to Raul Jimenez up front.
So it’s no surprise Wolves are seemingly keen to get the deal done, and the fans would likely love it too.
