Wolves are set to make their first signing of the January transfer window, with Noha Lemina to join from Paris Saint-Germain – and an interesting claim has been made this morning about the move.
After loose links earlier in the window, Wanderers have swooped for the younger brother of Mario, who barely featured on loan at Sampdoria in the first half of the season.
An agreement with PSG has been reached, and this morning, it has been reported that the youngster has flown in from France for medical tests.
The expectation is that this deal will now be done, with an announcement expected this evening or on deadline day.
Noha is to join on an initial loan basis, and a French journalist has made an interesting claim about the potential for teenager to sign permanently…
Noha Lemina will choose himself whether to make Wolves move permanent after loan

Noha is set to undergo his medical today ahead of becoming a new Wolves player.
Details are now being made public about the deal, and the starlet is to join Wanderers on loan first and there will be an option to buy this summer.
Interstingly, according to journalist Fabrice Hawkins, the potential for Noha to become a permanent Wolves player this summer lies with the youngster himself. He wrote on X: “It is Noha Lemina who will decide if he wants to stay at Wolverhampton at the end of the season.
“Loan with purchase option of €1m and 5-year contract if option exercised. Medical visit this morning in England.”
An intriguing claim as Noha Lemina nears Wolves move
It is very interesting to see that Noha himself will decide whether he turns his loan move to Wolves permanent in the summer.
Perhaps Wolves are keen to have Noha with them permanently, but don’t want to put pressure on him and want the ball to be in his court.
Whatever the reason, this is an exciting move by Wolves.
On social media, there are some PSG fans who are not overly happy about this move which perhaps tells its own story. Some do not feel the buy option is big enough for a player of his talent and potential.
Hopefully, Noha can hit the ground running quickly at Wolves. He’s got Mario there for support and that will no doubt quicken the settling in process.
It would be fantastic to see him actually become an option for Gary O’Neil in the coming months and to ultimately see him sharing the field with his older brother.
