Wolves are ready to re-enter the transfer market in the hunt for a Pedro Neto replacement.
So far this summer, Gary O’Neil has welcomed three new faces to his squad, as well as making Tommy Doyle’s loan from Manchester City permanent.
Wolves will be encouraged with the work they’ve done in the transfer window however, now that Pedro Neto has departed, a replacement must be identified.
The winger joined Chelsea in a deal worth £54m to bring his five-year association with Wolves to a close, leaving O’Neil with a significant void to fill.

Wolves are reported to have interest in Barcelona starlet Ansu Fati
Following Neto’s departure, several names have been added to Wolves’ wanted list, with Brentford’s Yoane Wissa reported to be one.
Reports in Spain have now suggested that another player with Premier League experience is on Wolves’ radar.
News outlet Sport have named Wolves as one of three clubs interested in signing Barcelona starlet Ansu Fati on loan.
The report notes that the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is looking for suitable clubs for the 21-year-old’s next loan spell, with Barcelona’s stance now clear.
It’s understood that the Catalan giants are eager to get the youngster off their wage bill for the season with a loan plus the option to buy suggested to be their ideal scenario.
Being represented by Mendes could sway things in Wolves’ favour if a real interest in the player is shown, given the jewels that the agent has delivered to Molineux in the past.
Jorge Mendes could see Gary O’Neil as the perfect mentor for Ansu Fati
It’s been a challenging few years for Ansu Fati, who hoped to get his career back on track last season with a loan spell at Brighton.
The loan couldn’t have gone much worse for the versatile forward, who only secured three starts for the Seagulls in the Premier League as his campaign was interrupted by injury.
What mustn’t be forgotten amid links to Wolves is the magnitude of the player that the Spaniard is, with him once hailed as “extraordinary” by Xavi.
As a result of a stagnant few years in terms of development, Ansu Fati’s agent, Mendes, could now consider Wolves to be a bright place for the winger to find his feet and rediscover his form and fitness.
O’Neil has shown over his year at Molineux how capable he is at getting the best out of those who have needed some encouragement, with a similar effect there to be had on the Barcelona gem if a deal is to be struck.
It would be a fascinating transfer to see unfold, and one that would show tremendous willingness from the player who will be eyeing a shot at redemption in England.
