Transfer News

It’s fair to say Wolves fans are very happy about the club’s latest transfer link, ‘If we pull this off…’

Wolves fans are in awe of the latest player to be linked with a move to Molineux.

The summer transfer window has started slower than many would’ve hoped, as Wolves have signed just one player so far.

Fer Lopez was brought in by Vitor Pereira, but ever since, it’s been unclear who the Old Gold’s targets for the remainder of the summer are.

At long last, it was revealed that Wolves have made contact over the possibility of signing Maghnes Akliouche from Monaco.

According to reports in France, Wolves have made a ‘concrete offer’ to Akliouche, who is also wanted by Nottingham Forest, Arsenal and Tottenham.

Having contributed to 15 goals in Ligue 1 last season, it’s clear to see why Akliouche is generating attention in the Premier League.

The right winger was dubbed ‘international-level’ by his manager Adi Hutter during a press conference in November 2024, with his coach believing that he is capable of playing for France.

As Wolves’ interest in the Frenchman was revealed, fans reacted on social media, and the verdict was as exciting as expected.

“YESSSSSSSSSS PLEASEE,” one Wolves supporter said, as others followed.

“BRING”

Another fan said, “Please be signing for us,” as the report stated that Monaco want a sizeable fee for the 23-year-old.

In response to concerns over the asking price, one optimistic Wolves fan reminded others of the club’s business this summer.

“People seem to be forgetting that we’ve just recently made €110m from two sales.”

Some supporters then started to imagine a world in which Akliouche played his football at Molineux.

“Worth adding, he Fer Lopez and Strand Larsen would be a frightening front 3.”

“Never been more back,” a fan said, which another echoed, “We might be back yk, until Forest use the Elanga money.”

One Wolves fan called Akliouche a ‘big baller’.

“If we pull this off… big baller.”

Why is there so much excitement around Akliouche?

Selling Matheus Cunha to Manchester United was inevitable, but the pressure is on to replace the Brazilian maverick.

Not only did Cunha offer goals to the Wolves squad, but also creativity, which is where a signing like Akliouche could transform Pereira’s front line.

As seen above, Cunha and Akliouche were similarly creative in their respective leagues over the 2024/25 season.

The Frenchman created more big chances to score than the former Wolves ace and exceeded his assist tally in the Premier League.

Akliouche is one of the hottest forwards in Ligue 1 and could be the perfect figure to replace Cunha’s threat, a deal that would leave Wolves fans elated.
