Wolves are set to bolster their defensive options in the January transfer window – and Renato Veiga is a new name being linked with a move.
Wolves will sign Emmanuel Agbadou this week, having already agreed a few with Reims.
Agbadou had been expected at Molineux for Wolves’ game with Nottingham Forest. But he has not yet obtained a work permit.
But there will be no issues with that, and Wolves are even hopeful that he will be available for the game with Bristol City this weekend.
Chelsea youngster Veiga could well follow Agbadou to Molineux.
Supposedly, Wolves are interested in Veiga and could battle Bournemouth to secure the Portugal international’s services.
Veiga only joined Chelsea in the summer, but has found regular starts hard to come by at the west London giants.
It remains to be seen if the Blues will be willing to do business over him, and now Wolves fans have had their say.
Wolves fans adamant Vitor Pereira should sign Renato Veiga

Veiga arrived at Stamford Bridge with a big reputation.
The 21-year-old started his career at Sporting CP, but made his name at FC Basel.
He has already amassed 17 caps for Portugal across U19, U20 and U21 level, and has three for the senior side after making his debut in 2024.
On social media, fans have given the potential signing of Veiga – who can play three positions – their seal of approval, and think he’s someone Vitor Pereira should sign.

Wolves should try to sign Veiga
Wolves are bringing in one centre-back with experience in Agbadou, meaning there is scope to add a second, younger defender this month.
We all know that Wolves love to land players who are younger so that they can develop them into household names.
Any move for Veiga would probably be a loan move considering he only recently joined Chelsea.
But he’s a player Wolves should indeed be looking into because Toti Gomes needs competition for his position.
He hasn’t been as good as he was last season this time around, but hasn’t had anyone pushing him – and Veiga would certainly come in and do that.
His versatility would be extremely helpful, especially as injuries tend to come more frequently in the second half of the season.
