Wolves took on and beat Rennes 3-1 in their final pre-season game yesterday – and after the game there was another encouraging post from Fabio Silva.
Julen Lopetegui’s side put in their best performance all summer, beating the French outfit comfortably at Molineux.
Rayan Ait-Nouri got the ball rolling with an outrageous jumping volley.
Benjamin Bourigeaud equalised from the penalty spot, before Joao Gomes and Hwang Hee-chan grabbed goals in the second-half for Wolves.
It was a fine display from Wolves, who knocked the ball around with confidence against a good side.
With things currently being a bit of a mess off the pitch, this was exactly the kind of showing fans needed.
Fabio Silva sends another encouraging message as Wolves officially finish their pre-season
It was all smiles after yesterday’s result and performance.
And the positivity continued afterwards on social media.
And one man who particularly enjoyed yesterday’s game was Fabio Silva.
Silva, who was brilliant against Luton Town in midweek, came off the bench yesterday against Rennes.
He was really good again, and he has definitely now shown he has a lot to offer Wolves in the coming season.
His future remains up in the air though, with Wolves’ financial situation meaning he is not certain to stay.
But Silva is seemingly very happy at the moment. He wrote after yesterday’s game on Instagram: “Pre-season done! Amazing work, team! I love the Molineux vibe! So good feelings.”
This follows another very positive message from Silva after the game against Luton.
Has Fabio Silva been told he’s staying?
This post from Silva feels significant.
Pre-season is over now and he has marked it with a public message. And a very positive one at that.
Silva saying he loves the Molineux vibe, after the reception he has been getting, is really good to see.
Him writing ‘good feelings’ also feels somewhat encouraging.

The whole message reads as though he’s been told by Lopetegui that he will be staying and playing a big part for Wolves.
And if that is the case then it would be deserved.
