Hugo Bueno has become the third first-team player to leave Wolves this summer after Max Kilman and Pedro Neto, joining Feyenoord on loan until the end of the 2024/25 season.
After it had looked as though the Spaniard was going to stay and fight for his place, Bueno is now embarking on a new adventure in the hope of getting regular game time.
Sporting director Matt Hobbs explained that the plan is for Bueno to play as much as possible, describing Champions League outfit Feyenoord as ‘the perfect club’ for him.
Wolves will hope that Bueno has an excellent season, in the knowledge that Rayan Ait-Nouri could well be the subject of more transfer interest.
It would be ideal if he thrived because Wolves could then potentially just replace Ait-Nouri with him and perhaps spend less on a new left-back.
Hugo Bueno sends message to Wolves fans as Yerson Mosquera reacts to the news

Bueno was brilliant for Wolves during the 2022/23 season when he broke through.
The youngster took advantage of a chance when Ait-Nouri was ill for a game against Crystal Palace and played so well that he kept his place in the starting XI.
Julen Lopetegui really liked him, and gave him lots of chances, with Ait-Nouri famously missing out on a number of matchday squads towards the end of that campaign.
But Ait-Nouri came roaring back last term under Gary O’Neil, leaving Bueno to feed off scraps.
The move makes sense, because Wolves can use Toti Gomes or Matt Doherty as cover on the left side in the event Ait-Nouri cannot play.
Bueno’s move was officially confirmed this morning by the club, and Bueno sent a message to Wolves fans on his Instagram Story.
He said: “Hello Wolves fans, as you may know, I will not be playing this season in the Old Gold shirt but I will be watching and supporting as another fan, I wish you all the best and see you in the next one.”
There was also a joint post from Feyenoord and Bueno, and Yerson Mosquera commented ‘Muchos Éxitos Panita’, which translates to ‘Many successes Panita’.
Mosquera and Bueno are known to be good friends at Wolves, and hopefully a loan move will serve Bueno as well as it did Mosquera.
Great move for Bueno
A move to Feyenoord for Bueno feels like a really good decision.
He will get to play in the Champions League, and will get to go up against some of the best attackers in the world.
It is a great test for the youngster and by the sounds of it from Hobbs, he is going to get plenty of opportunities to impress.
Bueno has already shown he is a really exciting prospect. He just so happens to be behind an even bigger one in Ait-Nouri which is unfortunate for him.
But, as mentioned previously, Ait-Nouri might be sold for big money next summer, so it’s important that Bueno returns off the back of a great season.
