How Wolves really feel about Rayan Ait-Nouri changing agent as clear asking price set

While the transfer saga involving Matheus Cunha is dominating the headlines, the future of Wolves wing-back Rayan Ait-Nouri is arguably just as important.

Ait-Nouri has enjoyed a remarkable 2024/25 campaign, producing the most goals and assists of any defender in the Premier League.

The 23-year-old has unsurprisingly attracted interest from bigger clubs as a result, with Liverpool long-term admirers of Ait-Nouri, while Tottenham also like the look of the Algerian.

In an attempt to scare off the vultures, it emerged last week that Wolves were willing to offer a new contract to Ait-Nouri, something they did with Joao Gomes at the start of April.

However, on Monday, some news emerged from Molineux that could point towards his exit, with one verdict now being shared.

Rayan Ait-Nouri changing agent doesn’t alter his Wolves future

Fabrizio Romano revealed this week that Ait-Nouri has signed with the CAA Stellar agency, who represent the likes of Morgan Gibbs-White, Real Madrid’s Eduardo Camavinga, and Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konate.

It was thought that this move would impact the player’s future, with Wolves fans fearing Ait-Nouri could leave as he seeks an opportunity at the highest level.

Reports from Fennec News also backed up this notion by claiming the Algeria international has changed representatives to facilitate an ambitious transfer to a new club.

Fortunately, TBR’s transfer expert Graeme Bailey has informed Molineux News that the wing-back changing agent doesn’t alter his future, with Wolves willing to tie him down to a new deal.

Bailey thinks that, regardless of whichever agency he’s with, Wolves would be willing to sell Ait-Nouri if an offer between £40 million – £45 million came in for him.

That seems like a steal for someone who is outperforming every full-back in the division, including Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold.

What Micah Richards said about Ait-Nouri

Ait-Nouri is an incredibly exciting player to watch, and even during the loss to Brighton, he was the key driving force behind their attacking threat.

He’s simply breathtaking when in full throttle, and how he glides past players is unstoppable, with there being no surprises that big clubs are admiring his talents.

Speaking after the defeat to Manchester City 11 days ago, former defender Micah Richards called Ait-Nouri ‘sensational’, labelling him one of his favourite full-backs in the league.

“This man, Ait-Nouri. We talked about him before the game Jamie. He’s one of my favourite full-backs in the league,” Richards said. “Going forward, he’s absolutely sensational.”

In recent weeks, Ait-Nouri has arguably been more important than Cunha, and it’s going to be a long summer ahead for those waiting for his future to be confirmed.
