How Trevoh Chalobah actually feels about potential loan move to Wolves after Deadline Day enquiry

Wolves have been linked to a late swoop for Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah on Deadline Day.

It’s all systems go at Compton Park as Gary O’Neil and Matt Hobbs prepare for the 11pm closure of the summer transfer window.

Wolves have been treated to a day of excitement so far, with a wave of shock arrivals coming to light.

While the duo’s arrival is a cause for celebration, there could be further movement yet at the club.

How Trevoh Chalobah feels about joining Wolves on loan from Chelsea

Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah has been linked to Wolves, with a Deadline Day swoop for the Englishman still a possibility.

There is good reason to believe that the defender would be the perfect acquisition for what the squad requires at this moment but, the Old Gold aren’t the only club listed as admirers of the 25-year-old.

Interest is one thing however, action is another, with the enquiry made by Wolves not shedding any clarity on the player’s transfer stance.

A report from LondonWorld shared a brief insight into Chalobah’s mind on Deadline Day, hinting at how the defender would feel about signing for Wolves on loan following the club’s enquiry.

“Sources close to Chalobah have told LondonWorld that the player is calm and open to a move if a good deal is offered between now and when the window shuts tonight.”

As mentioned by journalist Ben Jacob at 4pm, Wolves are ‘aware’ of the player’s situation however, were not working on a possible deal earlier in the afternoon.

Chalobah signing would be smart on the right terms

Signing an English centre-back with Premier League experience would be a smart move for Wolves, but only if the conditions fit what the Midlands club require.

Chelsea would prefer to offload the defender permanently although, the Blues’ £25m asking price would be too high for Hobbs to offer.

A loan would be the ideal scenario for both club and player but, it’s still unclear where the defender’s future lies, considering his ‘calm’ status ahead of the deadline.

A lot will become clearer over the next few hours, with the potential there for O’Neil to finally add a homegrown centre-back to his squad.
