Wolves are racing against the clock to make new additions to the squad for the second half of the season.
Wolves are in need of a couple of new additions, with a new centre-back and midfielder high on the agenda.
Seemingly, Wolves are now closing in on Marshall Munetsi.
It was claimed late last night that an agreement between Wolves and Reims was close. The club have already had success this month signing a player from Reims, with Emmanuel Agbadou joining a few weeks ago.
Agbadou looks a solid addition to the backline, and now Wolves are going after their captain.
And a report has now suggested how much Wolves could be paying.

Wolves set to pay similar fee for Munetsi as they did for Agbadou

It’s been reported by Foot Mercato that Wolves are set to pay ‘a very large sum’ to sign Munetsi.
The suggestion is that it could be in the same ballpark as what was paid for Agbadou.
Wolves paid £16.6 million (BBC Sport) in the end for Agbadou, which is already looking like a bargain.
It remains to be seen if Wolves will be able to get a deal over the line.
Having missed out on Kevin Danso, there will surely be a desire not to miss out here. Ultimately, the reason for Wolves missing out on Danso was because the club didn’t want to pay Lens’ asking price for a permanent move.
Wolves could end up overpaying for Munetsi
It is interesting to note the language used by Foot Mercato in their report about Munetsi.
The headline is that Wolves have made a ‘crazy’ offer to Reims for Munetsi, and then in the article, it’s mentioned how it’s a ‘very big cheque’ that’s on the table.
The Agbadou fee was not that much in the grand scheme of football transfers today.
But perhaps the feeling from Foot Mercato is that a similar fee for Munetsi would be overpaying for the 28-year-old.
But Wolves are not really in a position to be haggling now, so if it takes overpaying slightly to get a deal done then officials need to get it done if he’s the player they want.
