Ruben Neves is set to complete his move to Al Hilal in the coming days – and a report has shared how much FC Porto are set to receive from the transfer.
Yesterday, news broke that the Saudi Pro League club and Wolves had reached an agreement for the star’s transfer.
That agreement is worth £47 million.
Al Hilal swooped, after Barcelona could not offer straight cash.
The Spanish giants were trying to do a swap deal involving Ansu Fati, but the winger never wanted the move to Molineux.
So Neves is now bound for the Middle East, and the move is set to complete some time this week.
But how much of that £47 million will Neves former club Porto be entitled to?
FC Porto set for small windfall if Ruben Neves completes £47 million Al Hilal move due to sell-on clause
When Porto sold Neves to Wolves in the summer of 2017, they did indeed include a sell-on clause.
They are now set to benefit from that clause.

Neves moving to Al Hilal for £47 million will net them a cool €1.9 million (£1.6 million), according to O Jogo.
That is not a huge amount in today’s game and Porto officials probably wish they had negotiated a bigger sell-on clause.
It’s certainly good for Wolves though.
To be selling a player who has one year left on his contract for nearly £50 million as to be seen as good business. As sad as it to see Neves leave for Saudi.
Wolves off to a great start this summer – big Ruben Neves sale to Saudi club Al Hilal early doors provides great basis to kick on
It looks like Neves to Al Hilal will now go through, which no one really saw coming.
It had been Barcelona all the way until early Sunday afternoon when news of the agreement between Wolves and Al Hilal broke.
There is no getting away from it – it’s a great bit of business from Wolves.

It’s just a bit of a shame for Neves, who could genuinely play for a top club in Europe. But it’s what he wants right now, and given the money that has been mentioned who can really blame him.
Hopefully, he doesn’t spend too long out there and does get the chance to come back to Europe to play in the Champions League.
