How Mario Lemina is feeling behind the scenes as Wolves transfer exit edges closer

Wolves are waiting patiently for a decision to be made on Mario Lemina’s future, as the midfielder wants to leave Molineux.

Things haven’t been the same since Lemina’s bust-up at The London Stadium, as the incident ultimately led to the end of the player’s journey at Molineux.

After the ugly scenes at full-time, Lemina stood down as captain and since then, the 31-year-old has played only 121 minutes in the Premier League.

A transfer for the midfielder is almost certain this window, with several clubs linked to his services.

How Mario Lemina is feeling about Wolves transfer saga

Vitor Pereira has expelled Lemina from his squad until the end of the transfer window, which is when the Wolves manager expects the saga to end.

It could end two ways, Lemina could remarkably remain at Wolves or, the former captain could leave to find a new club.

At present, Lemina is in talks with Torino over a possible return to Italy, following on from his two-year spell in Turin with Juventus.

Another club eyeing the Wolves midfielder is his former club Galatasaray, seeing the Gabon international make the news in Turkey.

Fotomac reported Galatasaray’s interest, sharing an insight into how Lemina is feeling as he awaits a transfer from Molineux.

The Turkish outlet claims that Lemina is ‘eager’ to return to Istanbul, adding that the Wolves player is ‘counting down the days’ to leave his club.

It’s been a staggering turn of events in Lemina’s Wolves career, starting the campaign as captain off the back of a player-of-the-season campaign and now, is desperate to leave the West Midlands.

Wolves need to offload Lemina promptly

Pereira isn’t impressed with Lemina’s recent behaviour, with all signs pointing at an exit before deadline day.

Whilst the Gabonese star weighs up his next steps, the 31-year-old is collecting a £45k-a-week wage at Wolves, reinforcing the importance of ousting him sooner rather than later.

The Old Gold have no time to waste on a player who doesn’t want to be at the club, with a project to build in the bid to ensure Premier League survival.

Lemina is thought to have options in Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Italy, giving Wolves plenty of fuel to find a suitable destination for the wantaway midfielder.
