Wolves youngster Dexter Lembikisa has officially completed a loan move to Rotherham United.
The 19-year-old will spend the 2023/24 campaign with the Millers, in a bid to further his development.
Last season Lembikisa made his Wolves debut.
He got a cameo against Leeds United in the Carabao Cup back in November, before he was then given minutes against Arsenal in the Premier League just a few days later.
Lembikisa would then get his first start for the club against Liverpool in the FA Cup. Julen Lopetegui also started him in the replay.
After getting a taste of first-team action, Lembikisa will now embark on his first loan spell. Several clubs were keen to take him this summer.
And Steve Davis, who was the man to give Lembikisa his debut, as he been speaking about the reasons behind the decision.
Steve Davis shares why Wolves have sent Dexter Lembikisa on loan to Rotherham
Wolves and Rotherham have both announced this move tonight.

Lembikisa is excited for the opportunity, and former U18s coach Davis – who is now the pathways manager at Wolves – has explained the decision.
He told the club’s official website: “Dexter has progressed really well and clubs will have taken notice of his spell with Jamaica recently, playing a key factor in where he’s ended up for his first loan.
“He’s more than capable of doing well in the Championship. It’s a good place to be, a good club to go to and it’s a great first loan for him. It’s a reward for his progression through to the first-team and also with his call-up at international level.
“He’s going to have some really tough games against some really good opposition. The wingers in that league will be good and some are top Championship and Premier League wingers, so he’s going to get tested.
“I’m interested to see how he copes with that. I’ll be going to watch the games and will keep a close eye on his progression.”
A great platform for Lembikisa to show what he can do
Lembikisa will now experience men’s football every week and that can only be good for his development.
Wolves have really high hopes for the Jamaica international, and this is the right move for him.
The club just signed Matt Doherty and so that meant he wasn’t going to get any first-team minutes at Molineux in the coming season.

He has regularly stood out with the U21s and so, him making a move to a Championship club is perfect.
It is a great league and he will undoubtedly learn a lot.
Hopefully, he is able to thrive – just as Ryan Giles did when he played for Rotherham in the second half of the 2020/21 season.
