‘Get him in’… Wolves fans get excited after hearing they could sign ‘amazing’ transfer target

Wolves could experience a transformative summer under Vitor Pereira, with an opportunity to build on their current solid foundations.

Although Matheus Cunha is set to join Manchester United, supporters are quietly confident that a successful summer can see them skyrocket up the table in 2025/26.

Fans will want Vitor Pereira to find Cunha’s heir straight away, as it will be difficult to source a replacement for someone with 17 goals in all competitions.

But that isn’t the only pressing issue facing Pereira, who wants to improve other positions in his squad, including competition for Jorgen Strand Larsen.

The 25-year-old has often led the line on his own with the likes of Goncalo Guedes struggling to impress, but now, a rival to the Norwegian could be acquired.

In March, it was understood that Wolves wanted to sign Tammy Abraham from Roma. The 27-year-old is currently on loan at AC Milan, where he’s scored just three goals in 29 appearances.

We exclusively revealed that Abraham wanted a return to the Premier League, with other clubs also taking a look at the towering centre-forward.

Now, ahead of the summer transfer window, West Ham, Everton, and Wolves are ‘strongly interested’ in Abraham, with Pereira perhaps seeing him as a back-up or contender to challenge Strand Larsen.

Reacting to this update via X, one supporter wrote: “This would be a quality signing. PL proven and knows where the goal is.”

“100% would have him. 2up top him & Larsen, whip balls in from the wing backs if not both can hold the ball up and bring the 10 into play and run off each other,” another replied.

“Would absolutely love to see him sign for us,” a third commented.

“Be a great signing for Wolves,” someone else pointed out while a sixth said: “This is a gamble we definitely should take. How much do Roma want for him £15M-£20M?”

“This would shake things up!” another exclaimed.

What Jose Mourinho said about Abraham

Wolves could simply do with another focal point to either play alongside Strand Larsen or rival him for a place in the starting lineup.

Abraham certainly ticks that box, boasting the physicality and aerial strength to occupy defenders while possessing the Premier League experience.

430 appearances
172 goals
51 assists

Speaking about the Englishman in 2022, Jose Mourinho called Abraham ‘amazing’ following his stunning start to the season for Roma.

“He played how I wanted him too. He won everything, he kept the ball, he provided an outlet, he won the first ball and he gave us an option in behind to push them back,” Mourinho said.

“We always talk about strikers when they score and obviously tonight was Paulo’s night, but Tammy was amazing.”

Wolves could make a real statement by signing Abraham this summer, as he would add serious quality to their front line.
