According to reports, Wolves have now moved ahead in the race to sign PSG wonderkid Noha Lemina.
As the transfer window edges ever closer to the deadline, Wolves are still yet to do any business, but that doesn’t mean the club haven’t been working hard behind the scenes.
During this window, Gary O’Neil has pinpointed striker as the position he wants to improve the most.
After loaning out Sasa Kalajdzic and Fabio Silva, he was left with just Matheus Cunha as his only senior striker and 18-year-old Nathan Fraser as his backup.
Wolves have been linked with a whole host of names, from Danny Ings to Armando Broja and Hugo Ektike, but the financial constraints placed on the club have made it difficult to do business.
That said, the Wanderers boss has shown he wants to plan for the future by attempting to bring 18-year-old Noha Lemina – the brother of midfielder Mario – to Molineux.

Wolves have moved ahead in the race to sign Noha Lemina
Wolves are always looking for potential gems and Mario Lemina’s brother is one in the making.
Earlier on in the window, the Midlands side were linked with the talented Frenchman and although nothing came of it, a fresh update has emerged on their pursuit of the teenager.
According to Le Equipe, Lille are one of the top contenders to sign Lemina, but the report claims it’s Wolves who are now ‘further in the race’.
The youngster has spent the first half of the season on loan at Serie B side Sampdoria, but the move has not gone to plan and he’s hardly played for the first team.
He only featured in one game for 15 minutes before manager Andrea Pirlo sent him to the U19s.
With his contract at PSG expiring in 2025, acquiring the teenager on a cut-price deal is a real possibility and given his brother already plays for the club, he’d have no issues settling in at Molineux.
Noha Lemina is one for the future
After struggling to nail down a spot at Sampdoria, it’s doubtful he’d arrive at Wolves and stamp his authority in the first-team.
Although the quality is there after being hailed as ‘special’ by talent scout Jacek Kulig, he’s at an age where he needs to mature physically.
Unlike his older brother who is known for his tough-tackling ability, Noha is an attack-minded midfielder who likes to get on the ball and make things happen.
O’Neil is crying out for some creativity in the final third and while Lemina has shown promise in that department, he would be a long-term signing for the club to develop.
