Wolves are in need of some attacking reinforcements with the exit of Sasa Kalajdzic yet to be dealt with, now Gary O’Neil’s had his say.
Throughout January, a striker has been the position that has been on the mind at Molineux. Several names have been linked with making the move and it’s easy to understand why.
Wolves have loaned out Sasa Kalajdzic to Frankfurt and he’s yet to be replaced. Now there isn’t a clear number nine with both Hwang Hee-Chan and Matheus Cunha better at playing around the number nine.
Wolves therefore need to reinforce the position in order to solidify their bid to make a charge for Europe, with it looking well within reach.
Now with little more than a day remaining in the window, Gary O’Neil has shared his views on the situation and whether he wants a signing.

Speaking with the press – as quoted by Liam Keen – ahead of his side welcoming Manchester United to Molineux on Thursday night, transfers were the subject of choice.
When asked, O’Neil had a positive-sounding verdict for those asking: “We are still looking for a 9 and we might get something done tomorrow. There is still an opportunity to add but we’ll see.”
“Touch wood, we have one of the best injury records in the league, but things can happen. When we lost Neto you heard the whole of Wolverhampton gasp. We don’t have loads of attacking players, not enough ideally for me.”
But as Wednesday drags on, it seems O’Neil could be about to get his wish.

Wolves are now looking to sign a striker this window after all and are facing a race against time to complete a deal for Corinthians striker Yuri Alberto, according to John Percy.
The 22-year-old Brazil international is now the club’s number-one target but they’ll need to be quick with negotiations as the clock runs down.
This comes as reports suggested Wolves were reluctant to re-enter the race for Armando Broja and clearly have now moved on with Chelsea overvaluing their number nine.
