Furious Wolves fans in no doubt what should happen with Mario Lemina after Vitor Pereira revelation

Wolves fans have been reacting to a huge revelation from Vitor Pereira about Mario Lemina.

Wolves lost their latest Premier League game against Newcastle United, with poor defending against costing the team.

Wanderers started fairly well at St. James’, but found themselves 1-0 down after a heavily deflected Alexander Isak strike found the corner of Jose Sa’s net.

After the break, Wolves made it too easy for Newcastle, with Isak scoring again and then setting up Anthony Gordon.

Wolves thought they’d pulled one back through Santiago Bueno, but VAR deemed the Uruguay international to have handled the ball before poking in.

It was a night to forget for Wolves, and after the game, Pereira made some stunning comments about Mario Lemina.

Lemina was not in the matchday squad for the game against Newcastle, and many had speculated that it was due to transfer interest and him wanting to leave.

Pereira has said Lemina didn’t want to play against Newcastle, and that he was not in the right state mentally.

He said: “I can’t bring a player with me [Lemina] who comes to me and says I am not mentally ready to play….says ‘I want to leave’.

“I don’t know what happened before me, but with this energy and this mentality, I don’t need him. I prefer to play with another player.”

Wolves fans think Mario Lemina must now leave the club

On social media, there has been a big reaction to these comments from Pereira about Lemina.

For many, the Gabon international is now finished at the club and there is no way back for the former captain.

Lemina will not play for Wolves again

It is quite incredible to think we have now reached this point with Lemina.

He was so good for Wolves when he first came in and brilliant last season, as evidenced by him winning Supporters’ Player of the Season.

But this development surely means Lemina will not play for Wolves again.

It is unforgivable to refuse to play. Even if you know you might be leaving, or want to leave, you still fulfill your duties – especially when your club is fighting in a relegation battle.

If Pereira is to be believed – and why would he lie – then it is shameful behaviour from the former captain and the quicker he is out of the club the better.

It is on a par with, if not even worse than when Matheus Nunes went on strike at Wolves, and Lemina should also be fined for refusing to play.
