Francisco Trincao has said 'yes' to Sporting CP move, as Wolves stint set to end

Francisco Trincao has reportedly indicated his desire to join Sporting CP next season and leave Wolves.

According to journalist Bruno Andrade, the winger wants to link back up with Ruben Amorim, whom he worked with at Braga.

He is being billed as a potential replacement for Pablo Sarabia, who is only on loan at the club from Paris Saint-Germain.

Supposedly, talks over a one-year loan move are moving in a positive way.

Salary issues still need to be settled with Barcelona.

But it would seem that the chances of Trincao turning out in a Wolves shirt again next season are slim.

It has been a very up-and-down season for the 22-year-old at Molineux.

Trincao has threatened to really burst into life at times.

But ultimately, it has never quite happened for him which is a real shame considering how much hype there was when he signed.

He has only scored three goals for the club, and made one assist.

Those numbers are quite underwhelming.

There have been claims recently that Wolves will not move to trigger their option to buy clause, which is thought to be worth £25 million.

It now seems that Sunday’s game against Liverpool could be the final time we see Trincao in a Wolves shirt.

It sounds as though Trincao is ready for pastures new next season.

But he just hasn’t quite kicked on as the club would have hoped, and it seems now that both club and player are ready to move on.

One wonders how Bruno Lage would feel about losing Trincao.

It was only recently that he insisted he had a big future ahead of him.
