Former Wolves transfer target now scouted by Man United after ninth goal in 11 games

Former Wolves target Semih Kilicsoy is now being scouted by Man United after his ninth goal in 11 games.

A striker has long been on the wish list of Gary O’Neil. Since he joined the club, Wolves have been short in the attacking areas which has cost the side multiple points this season.

In January, bringing in a striker was seen as a top priority by the manager. As a result, multiple names were linked to the club as they searched for a suitable player to bring in.

One such name was Semih Kilicsoy. The Turkish striker from Beşiktaş was lighting up the Turkish Super League and looked to be a real gem of a striker.

However, despite a reported bid from Wolves, they never brought the 18-year-old to Molineux, a decision that they might now regret.

In recent weeks, Kilicsoy has continued his sensational form in Turkey. On Sunday, the striker netted his ninth goal in 11 games and has helped to send Beşiktaş into the semi-finals of the Turkish Cup in the week.

As a result of his recent form, Man United are now reportedly scouting the striker for a potential summer move. According to Turkish Football, both Arsenal and Man United are monitoring the striker’s situation after he burst onto the scene last December.

It is clear that Kilicsoy is now making quite the name for himself after only making his debut for the club just over a year ago.

However, this could now prove to be another player that has gotten away from Wolves’ grasp who looks like he will go on to be a star.

Another kick in the teeth for Wolves

Kilicsoy’s form just about sums it up for Wolves. O’Neil is really struggling to fill the attacking front at the moment.

Matheus Cunha and Hwang Hee-Chan are both out for the foreseeable future with injuries while Pedro Neto was forced off against Newcastle.

To see a potential January signing really kicking on and earning admiration from the bigger clubs is a real kick in the teeth for O’Neil. The manager needed a striker in January but Fosun were unable to provide him with one.

Now it looks as if Wolves have potentially lost out on one of the biggest prospects in Europe.

With Kilicsoy being scouted by Man United and Arsenal, it is unlikely that they could even attract the striker in the summer with bigger names circling.
