Wolves fans are already looking forward to club football returning so they can get a glimpse of their new signings.
The club ended up being very busy last Friday, with three new faces coming in on deadline day.
Sam Johnstone, Andre and Carlos Forbs all signed, with Bastien Meupiyou joining the day before. It was a strong finish to the window by Wolves, although the failure to land a new centre-back was a disappointment.
Wolves’ final singing of the window was Carlos Forbs, who has admitted Rodrigo Gomes encouraged him to make the move.
Forbs signed on loan from Ajax after just one year at the club following a move there from Manchester City.
Most fans are pretty excited to see what he will bring – but football legend Marco van Basten has actually made some rather surprising comments about Wolves’ newest addition.
Marco van Basten slams Carlos Forbs transfer to Ajax and makes prediction about Wolves move

Wolves have picked up Forbs on an initial loan deal, and it is thought the move will be turned permanent if he makes a certain number of appearances – a bit like Jorgen Strand Larsen.
Forbs stands to sign for around £11.4 million, which is around the same price that Wolves paid for Rodrigo Gomes.
Fans have been fairly pleased with the signing of Forbs.
But some concerning comments have actually now come to light from one of the legends of the game in Marco van Basten, who still keeps up with his former club Ajax.
In his eyes, Forbs was a bad transfer for Ajax, and he does not think Forbs will be successful at Molineux.
Frank de Boer initially said (as quoted by fcupdate.nl): “The transfer of Forbs went against Ajax’s philosophy so much.
“Your three greatest talents are in the same position, plus Steven Bergwijn. Then you think ‘What are you getting a nineteen-year-old player for?
“Isn’t it the philosophy that you train such a player yourself? And you pay twelve million euros (in fact a maximum of fourteen million euros) for that…”
van Basten is then quoted as saying: “Unbelievable. Unbelievable. Unbelievable. That option will only be lifted if he plays well. But that kid isn’t good enough to play well there. So that’s not going to happen.”
It’s on Forbs to prove van Basten wrong

These comments from de Boer and van Basten are slightly concerning – but it’s now a clean slate for Forbs at Wolves.
Gary O’Neil and Matt Hobbs have clearly seen some potential in him to make a move, and the hope is that he will be able to make a big impact at Molineux.
On the face of it, he has some qualities that Pedro Neto had in that, he is ‘very direct’ and likes to beat his man.
We will see how he gets on. It can be difficult for young players playing their first seasons in the Premier League. But Forbs does have experience of the English game having come through Manchester City’s academy.
The Premier League is a different beast of course, and hopefully he can have an impact, and use the comments of de Boer and van Basten as fuel.
