Wolves have had an awful start to the 2025/26 season, and one publication has boldly claimed one of the club’s new signings is already being eyed up.
Wanderers have lost all five of their Premier League games so far.
It was expected that Wolves would struggle initially. But fans have been alarmed at the level of performances so far, and there is deep concern about the club’s fate.
Ultimately, Wolves’ recruitment in the 2025 summer window has left a lot to be desired.
Top players like Matheus Cunha, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Nelson Semedo all left the club.
And Wolves brought in six new faces who are all unproven in the Premier League.
Perhaps the signing that fans have had the highest hopes for this season is Jhon Arias. But it hasn’t been a good start for the Colombian, and now a very bold claim has been made about him.
Flamengo ‘attentive’ to Jhon Arias struggles at Wolves

According to the website Torcida Flamengo, there is interest from Flamengo in Arias.
Despite Arias only just joining Wolves from Fluminense in a deal worth £19 million (BBC Sport), it is suggested that the Brazilian club are watching developments.
Bolavip have also reported interest from Flamengo, but they say no contact has been made. They also add that Cruzeiro and Palmeiras are fans of the player, but it’s Flamengo who are the most interested.
Arias has undoubtedly underwhelmed so far.
But Pereira did say patience would be required over Arias, and perhaps this kind of start was to be expected.
Despite his current struggles, Arias did actually say in an interview with AS Colombia recently that he is ready for the challenge. He said: “The Premier League, we have all seen how complex it is, it is a league and a different football from what I was used to in Brazil, the truth is that I am happy because it makes me improve, raise my level, makes me get out of my comfort zone and makes me grow.
“It’s an intense, physical league, from the personal side it’s a good place to grow.”

Wolves need Arias to find his mojo soon
This claim certainly comes out of the blue, and perhaps should be taken with a pinch of salt, given Torcida Flamengo are obviously a pro-Flamengo site.
Arias’ own comments suggest there is no need to worry about any early exit for the player.
It has been a slow start for Arias, but it is worth remembering that Andre – who also came to Wolves from Fluminense – did not hit the ground running immediately.
Seemingly Pereira is still working out how best to use Arias, who is also still acclimatising. What can be said though is that Arias’ defensive work has been fairly good.
But Wolves could do with Arias making an impact in and around the final third soon. He is the club’s marquee signing and is wearing that number 10 shirt, so the expectations are not going to go away.
