Wolves defender Ryan Bennett is set to go on loan to Leicester City for the rest of the season.
It is said that Bennett has undergone his medical at Leicester today after he was not seen present at training ahead of Saturday’s fixture against Manchester United.
The club has agreed a fee with option for a permanent transfer in the summer.
Bennett has made eleven league appearances for Wolves this season and after spending two-and-a-half years at Molineux, his loan agreement would see him greatly missed.
Fans have taken to Twitter to discuss the likely loan deal.
“Why? Why? Why?”
It has been under concern for many Wolves fans that Nuno is not creating the signing which are needed for the club.
With only two signings being made in Podence and Loiodice, Wolves are on their way to loosing three of their senior players this transfer window.
Why? Why? Why? A Leicester mate just rang me to see what he is like – reckons he will be on the bench for them anyway , so why not do that for us when we need back -up?! 😳

“Who benefits from this”
There is speculation between both premier league sides fans on whether or not Bennett will fit into Leicester’s side.
Leicester sit 3rd place in the premier league meaning that they are still competition for 7th place Wolves to make the top 4. If Bennett is struggling to make the Wolves squad, where will he fit in with the Leicester side?
No I get it but just so underwhelmed, Wolves don’t want him, why should we ?

I dont understand who benefits from this
He doesn’t improve the Leicester team
Hes just as likely to sit on their bench as he is ours
We are effectively a man downMove just doesn’t make sense for any of the parties involved

Would wolves let a player go too a team almost in direct competition with them if they thought would improve what they have on the bench already ??

However some Leicester fans believe that Bennett would be a good addition to the squad.
Bennett much better option than Vestergaard in my opinion so I’m happy with this deal. It’s a Winger we crave, only one decent one at the club and he rarely plays in the form of Marc Albrighton.

Very pleased with it. We haven’t spuffed money and he’s experienced. I said the other day on FT our squad is bloated with fringe first teamers, it will be addressed in the summer and our window will be a good one if we get CL. Planning to get benko out, good decision 👍

Nuno told Sky Sports that he was “thankful” for what Ryan Bennett had done.
“But he goes on loan to a situation which he wants, and I wish him all the best”
When asked about whether Wolves will look for another defender before the deadline to replace Bennett, Nuno replied “No, we have enough players that can play in that position.”
With Wily Boly back from injury, Wolves will not struggle for options in defence.
However, Wolves fans will still sit in hope that there will be a last minute signing later today to strengthen their side up front.
