It has been a busy past couple of days for Wolves, whose summer looks to have sprung into life.
Wolves are on track to sign Jhon Arias from Fluminense, with the winger all set to become the club’s second addition of the summer.
Fer Lopez is already in, and is currently training with his new teammates out in Portugal.
But there have been plenty of other transfer links to players – and one man Wolves have been looking at is Marc Pubill.
Pubill is a player on Wolves’ radar as a potential replacement for Nelson Semedo.
Semedo – now a free agent – still has not communicated a decision regarding his future, with the four-year contract offer still on the table.
Wolves feel Semedo is more likely to leave – and what they are now doing is a further suggestion of that.
Wolves stepping up pursuit of Marc Pubill

The right-back situation needs to be resolved.
At the moment, Semedo is training alone out in Portugal, in a location away from the Wolves squad.
He is no longer contracted to the club, so this is to be expected.
But there remains a lingering hope for some that the player will sign the extension that’s on the table.
But what Wolves are now doing suggests they know what Semedo’s answer is.
The club are now stepping up their pursuit of Almeria right-back Marc Pubill, with Fabrizio Romano reporting: “Understand Wolves are pushing in talks to sign Marc Pubill at right back with negotiations underway.
“Wolves want to anticipate Italian clubs, still keen on the player and interested.”
Wolves must wrap up Pubill transfer and move on from Semedo fiasco
Enough time has passed now for Wolves over the right-back situation.
Semedo still seemingly hasn’t made his decision, but the club cannot continue to be kept in the dark.

At this stage, Wolves would be right to ramp up their pursuit of Pubill – because new signings are missing out on crucial days in training with the squad and Vitor Pereira.
It is essential that Wolves get new faces through the door as soon as possible and not towards the end of the window.
