Wolves find themselves in a situation that is all too familiar, leaving their business till the last minute and paying the ultimate price.
Wolves fans have grown frustrated over Fosun in recent years as he continues to penny-pinch in the transfer market and asset-strip the squad.
No major sales have been made so far this month but equally, Vitor Pereira has only made one signing, with Emmanuel Agbadou joining from Reims.
Supporters are beginning to feel a sense of anger, as despite Wolves sitting in 18th position, there is little urgency to get deals complete.
The Premier League strugglers are also perhaps suffering as a result of their place in the table, with several players rejecting the chance to join the club.
Pereira wanted to sign three more players after Agbadou but with time ticking, there are no guarantees he will satisfy that quota, especially when his primary target is slipping away.

Wolves pursuit of Kevin Danso could be dead in the water
RC Lens centre-back Kevin Danso is a player Pereira wanted to become Wolves’ second signing of this transfer window.
Danso was the subject of two rejected bids from Wolves, one of which was in the region of £18.5m, with Lens wanting £25m for Danso.
The problem Pereira has, though, is that Danso wants Champions League football and two of the other interested clubs, namely Juventus and Aston Villa, can offer him that.
It was claimed on Thursday that Juventus wanted Danso on loan, with Villa also interested in a deal, and now Fabrizio Romano has dropped an ominous update on the 26-year-old.
Romano claims the Italian giants are waiting on a response from Lens after lodging a loan deal with an option to buy, suggesting there’s also been an approach from Villa.
However, there was no mention of Wolves in the post despite the Old Gold pushing hard to sign the Austrian international throughout this month.
It suggests they’ve made a mistake putting all their eggs in one basket and must now move onto a different target, and fast.
Wolves need a miracle to save their season
Pereira still wants three players through the door before the deadline on Monday, February 3rd, including a centre-back, central midfielder and forward.
So far, every move they’ve tried to make has either failed or quickly petered out, with Wolves entering a period of desperation.

The Wanderers have four more days to save their season and get some quality through the door, otherwise, relegation is looking nailed on as their rivals are seeing an upward trend.
Indeed, Everton have turned a corner under David Moyes, Ipswich Town have invested in some smart signings, including former Wolves target Ben Godfrey, while Leicester are expected to make further additions to their squad.
Unfortunately, Wolves have faltered at the most crucial point of their season and without significant reinforcements to their squad, it’s difficult to see how they survive.
