Wolves could be alerted to one former target’s future ahead of the summer transfer window.
Vitor Pereira orchestrated a successful January transfer window at Wolves, welcoming three players to bolster his squad.
Now that Wolves are close to avoiding Premier League relegation, the manager can begin to plan ahead of the summer market.
It’s already been hinted that Pereira wants a new attacker, which could see the Old Gold revisit a former transfer target.

Fabrizio Romano confirms Ansu Fati availability for summer transfer
With Matheus Cunha’s Wolves future uncertain, it’s increasingly likely that the Old Gold will scour the market for at least one new forward in the summer.
Pereira could be alerted to reconsider a target of Wolves in 2023, with an update on the player’s future now provided by Fabrizio Romano.
Romano posted on X that Barcelona are ready to part ways with Ansu Fati, who after a meteoric rise in Catalonia, is no longer in the club’s plans.
“Barcelona’s plan with Ansu Fati remains same as January, trying to find a new club in order to sell him.
“Ansu rejected more than 4 approaches in January and he’ll have the final decision, but Barça remain open to letting him go.”
Wolves were linked to Fati in 2023, who is represented by Jorge Mendes, an agent with significant ties to the West Midlands club.
Further down the line, it was reported that Fati was offered to Wolves, with links between the winger and those at Molineux not going away.
Wolves could unlock Ansu Fati
It wasn’t long ago that Fati was considered the heir to Lionel Messi at the Camp Nou but, things quickly took a harsh turn for the player.
Injuries have completely derailed the Spaniard’s plans to fill Messi’s shoes at Barcelona however, it mustn’t be forgotten that the star talent is still only 22 years old.
Added to that, Fati has Premier League experience under his belt, spending a season on loan at Brighton in 2023/24, where he contributed to five goals in all competitions.
Pereira wants an intricate player to offer more individual quality to his front line, something Fati can certainly offer if he can rediscover his early form at Barcelona.
There’s a player in there to be unlocked, something Wolves could explore in the summer with a move in store for the versatile forward.
