Fabrizio Romano claims Wolves now in talks to sell £30m ace to PL rivals

Wolverhampton Wanderers are now in talks to sell experienced striker Raul Jimenez to Premier League rivals Fulham.

The Molineux exodus this summer could continue with Jimenez now primed for the exit.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Fulham are now in talks to sign striker Jimenez this summer.

Romano claims that negotiations are taking place but a move may somewhat hinge on Marco Silva’s future.

Silva is wanted by Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli and he is still weighing up his future at Fulham boss.

If Silva stays, Fulham would like to bring in Jimenez as a potential replacement for star striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.

The Serbian is also wanted in Saudi Arabia with Al Hilal pushing to sign him in a big-money move.

Fulham will be eyeing up potential replacements and Jimenez now appears to be one of them.

Raul Jimenez will surely leave Wolves this summer

The writing has been on the wall for a little while with Jimenez, who appeared to know it as he applauded the Molineux crowd in May.

The home clash with Everton was expected to be Jimenez’s final home game for Wolves and he was seen leaving the pitch in tears.

Rumours of an exit for Jimenez have been slow of late but Fulham’s interest could accelerate a departure.

Jimenez is seeing the end of an era at Molineux as the likes of Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho, Conor Coady and Adama Traore have moved on.

The 32-year-old has contributed so much for Wolves, first scoring 13 goals in 38 games on loan before 40 goals in 135 games as a permanent player following a £30million move from Benfica.

Jimenez battled through a major head injury in 2020 to make his return for Wolves and has now racked up more than 150 appearances for the club.

The time has come for Jimenez to move on, but seeing him join another Premier League club would sting a little.
