Fabrizio Romano claims Wolves ace set for medical ahead of £23m exit

Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Nathan Collins is now poised to undergo a medical with Premier League rivals Brentford.

After weeks of speculation, it looks like Collins is finally on his way to West London.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Collins is now ready to undergo a medical with Brentford with a deal in place.

The Bees are paying a club-record £23million fee for Collins with the deal now moving closer and closer.

The Irish Sun reported last week that Wolves had rejected £20.5million and £22million offers from Brentford.

That report highlighted that Brentford were offering £23million and it looks like that has been the magic number.

Other Premier League clubs were also thought to be keen with Nottingham Forest and West Ham United keeping a close eye on Collins.

Brentford appear to have won the race though, with Collins departing Molineux after just a year.

Nathan Collins on the move yet again as Wolves agree to sell

This is becoming quite the occurrence for Collins.

Burnley pounced to sign Collins from Stoke City for around £12million in 2021 having been attracted to his potential with the Potters.

Collins moved on just a year later as Wolves secured a £20.5million deal but the Irishman is on the move again.

Three transfers in three summers is quite bizarre really but Collins will surely hope that this move is the right one for him.

The attention will soon turn to Wolves though and just what Julen Lopetegui’s back line will look like this coming season.

Conor Coady has gone, Nathan Collins is going and the likes of Max Kilman, Jonny and Rayan Ait-Nouri are being linked away.

Wolves could completely retool their backline this summer and bringing in cash for Collins may just help the overhaul.
