Exit-linked Molineux star now tells Wolves he wants to stay, after two offers

Wolves full-back Jonny Castro Otto has reportedly told the club that he wants to stay, after Spanish club Getafe showed interest.

Jonny is a player many Wolves fans did not expect to still be at Molineux at this point in the summer.

Quite early on, he was suggested as a player who could be sold to ease the financial situation.

He was also not a regular starter last season.

But there hasn’t been much written at all about Jonny this summer.

But two clubs have shown late interest in him on deadline day – but a move does not appear to be on the cards…

Jonny Castro Otto tells Wolves he wants to stay

As reported by Express & Star journalist Liam Keen this evening, Jonny ‘has told Wolves he wants to stay and fight for his place in the team.

This is despite interest from Getafe, who made an offer.

One other unnamed Spanish side also made an offer.

Keen reports that Wolves have accepted Jonny’s decision to stay at the club. They are not going to try and force him out at this stage.

Potentially then, it looks like the only outgoing now at Wolves in these final hours could be Daniel Podence.

Podence has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia this evening, with Al-Ettifaq said to be showing interest.

Jonny featured for Wolves on Tuesday night in the Carabao Cup game against Blackpool.
