Wolves could be set to lose a ‘quality’ player in the upcoming January transfer window.
Wolves have had a terrible start to the 2024/25 season under Gary O’Neil and currently look very likely to be sucked into a relegation battle come the end of the campaign.
After losing to Premier League champions Manchester City last time out, they are now dead bottom of the table and still winless in their opening eight fixtures of the season.
Amid such poor form, Wolves fans are no doubt hoping to see their club strengthen in the January transfer window.
And while nothing is advanced at this stage, Molineux News understands Wolves will look to sign a player in January.
We have learned that O’Neil wants to add a centre-back to his squad in the winter window with Christopher Wooh, Anel Ahmedhodzic and Dan Ballard all touted as names being looked at by the Midlands outfit.

European side want to sign Wolves star Pablo Sarabia
However, while incomings are the priority at Molineux right now, there could also be an exit in January.
Pablo Sarabia joined Wolves from Ligue 1 powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain in the 2023 winter window and is now attracting transfer interest two years later.
Sarabia began his career in Spain with Real Madrid before a three-year stint with Sevilla, for whom he scored 43 goals and provided 38 assists in 151 outings across all competitions.
Now, according to Spanish outlet Vamosmi Sevilla, Sevilla want to sell Suso in order to reduce their wage bill and he has been chosen amid his injury issues and poor form.
To replace Suso, the La Liga outfit have chosen Sarabia as their dream signing and will look at a January move if they can get Suso off their books.

Why Wolves will be happy to get rid of Pablo Sarabia
Sarabia made 30 Premier League appearances during the 2023/24 campaign, scoring four and assisting seven.
Manager O’Neil dubbed Sarabia ‘quality’ toward the back end of last season but, for whatever reason, he has fallen massively out of favour this term.
The 32-year-old has started both of Wolves’ two Carabao Cup ties this term but has only managed to garner 28 minutes of league action across two appearances.
Sarabia is out of contract at the end of 2024/25, meaning Sevilla can sign him to a pre-contract agreement in January.
But Wolves will surely be hopeful of getting some sort of fee for the former PSG man over the winter.
