European giants could target £50m Wolves star for summer transfer if key player doesn’t extend contract

Wolves are set for another busy summer, and fans won’t be too surprised to see a number of big names leave Molineux.

It has been a recurring theme of the last few years.

Wolves have offloaded top players in summer windows, and as a result, the club have been battling at the wrong end of the Premier League table.

While it’s not expected that Wolves will have any PSR issues this summer, it is just the way of the club to cash in on players for big money having bought them for a small fee.

Matheus Cunha has a £62.5 million release clause and the feeling for most is that the Brazilian will be one of the first out of the door this summer.

But there is also likely to be more speculation about Rayan Ait-Nouri – and it seems there is already talk about his future ahead of the summer.

It’s been reported by Gazzetta dello Sport that Rayan Ait-Nouri has emerged as a potential summer transfer target for European giants AC Milan.

Currently, they have a bit of a situation on their hands.

Theo Hernandez will be out of contract in the summer of 2026, and they are keen to extend his deal.

But if the Frenchman won’t do that, then the Italian giants will likely need to sell him this summer so they can still get a fairly big fee for him.

In the event that Milan don’t tie Hernandez down, they could make a move for Ait-Nouri from Wolves. Maxim De Cuyper of Club Brugge is also on their radar.

Wolves could replace Ait-Nouri with Hugo Bueno

Ait-Nouri will be one to watch this summer, because he’s been at the club for a few years now and it does feel like Fosun might be right to cash in.

Supposedly, Wolves value Ait-Nouri at £46.5-£50 million and given the level of interest in the player, there will be a good chance of the club getting what they want.

Molineux News has been told Hugo Bueno could replace Ait-Nouri as a regular at Wolves next season, given his great performances on loan at Feyenoord.

Bueno has caught the eye in the Netherlands and on the Champions League stage, and we are told there is a very strong possibility Wolves will make him their new starting left wing-back if Ait-Nouri does depart.

Ait-Nouri is also of interest to Liverpool and Chelsea, and so it’s very possible a bidding war could break out over the Algerian this summer.
