Wolves have announced their first signing of 2025 as Emmanuel Agbadou comes in to reinforce the Old Gold’s defence.
Vitor Pereira has finally completed his first signing since he became the Wolves manager last month.
It was clear that the Wanderers needed reinforcements at the back due to their awful defensive record.
Now, the club has aimed to quickly rectify this issue as Wolves confirmed the signing of Agbadou from Reims.
The defender has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract and will look to help pull the club away from the Premier League relegation zone.
Now, after officially becoming part of the Wolf Pack, Agbadou has sent an encouraging first message to the Molineux faithful.

Emmanuel Agbadou wants to ‘give his all’ for Wolves

Agbadou is an experienced centre-half who has spent the last two-and-a-half years at French side Reims.
Here, he helped maintain a strong backline in Ligue 1 and has left the club with the joint eighth-best defence in the division.
Now, after his signing was confirmed by Wolves, Agbadou has told fans he is ready to give it his all: “I’m a fast player. For a defender, my body is very weird sometimes for someone. I’m a player who likes to play football, I’m strong also, and I’m a leader in the defence.”
“I think I can use this leadership for this team, and the coach told me about that also, it’s for that I’m here, so I can help him with my leadership.”
He then added: “Hello everyone. I’m happy to be here, I’m waiting to make my debut with Wolverhampton, and I want to give all for the team, and give all for the Wolves.”
Emmanuel Agbadou needs to revolutionise Wolves’ defence

It’s no secret that Wolves’ dreadful defence is the reason why the club has struggled so badly this campaign.
The club’s attacking outlet has performed extremely well and Wolves have only failed to score in three Premier League games this season.
Now that the defence is receiving much-needed reinforcements, Agbadou needs to help revolutionise the backline.
For too long Wolves’ defence has been easily carved open which has led to multiple points being dropped.
If Agbadou can help put a stop to this, the club will be in an excellent position to stay up.
