It has been a busy start to the summer fWolves – with Rayan Ait-Nouri now closing in on an exit from the club.
It’s been reported this afternoon that Ait-Nouri is set to have his Manchester City medical this weekend, with an agreement having now been struck.
City have been on Rayan Ait-Nouri’s tail for quite a while.
But it looks as though a breakthrough has been made and it’s a question of when and not if this move happens.
City had wanted to sign Ait-Nouri before their participation at the Club World Cup, and it now looks like they will get their wish.
But there is one part of all this that Wolves fans are really not happy about whatsoever.

It has been reported that Ait-Nouri is leaving Wolves to join City in a deal worth around £33.7 million.
And there have been some suggestions that add-ons could take the deal closer to £35 million.
It had previously been claimed that Wolves were wanting north of £40 million, and even that felt somewhat cheap.
But the fee is seemingly now higher than £35 million – and Wolves fans are extremely annoyed at this.

Wolves have dropped a clanger if Ait-Nouri fee is correct
That Wolves are selling Ait-Nouri for just £33.7 million is farcical.
This is a player who has the potential to be one of the world’s best players in his position.
He may only have a year left on his contract, but Wolves have the option to extend it so it is effectively two.

The frustrations of the Wolves fans on social media are completely understandable. Especially when you consider Wolves have to pay around £9.5 million to remove Ait-Nouri’s 50% sell-on clause that Angers have.
Liverpool are looking to sign Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth, who are holding out for £45 million and that is, arguably, the least Wolves should have been looking to sell Ait-Nouri for.
