Daniel Podence’s future at Wolves has been highly speculated throughout the transfer window.
The winger was once one of the first names on the Old Gold team sheet. In the 2022/23 campaign, Podence finished as Wolves’ top scorer as they avoided relegation.
However, in the following campaign, the 28-year-old was unwanted at the club and was sent out on loan as a result.
At Olympiacos, Podence helped Olympiacos lift the Europa Conference League in a terrific spell.
However, since returning to the club in the summer, his future has become less clear. Olympiacos want Podence to return to Greece whereas Gary O’Neil has indicated that he wants the winger to stay.
Yet, with just a week left of the transfer window, the Greek side has not given up their pursuit after placing a bid for the 28-year-old.
Olympiacos bid €6 million for Wolves’ Daniel Podence

In an effort to finally lure Podence to Olympiacos permanently, the Greek side has bid €6 million for the winger according to journalist Stephen Kountourou.
It is unclear if Wolves will accept the offer at present but given that Wolves value Podence at €10 million, it seems unlikely.
Podence did have an offer to go to the MLS earlier in August, but the winger rejected the proposal.
The 28-year-old’s preference is also unclear. While he did enjoy his spell at Olympiacos, he is now involved in the first-team picture back at Wolves.
Wolves should keep Daniel Podence

With the transfer window quickly coming to a close, Wolves would struggle to find a winger of a similar quality to Podence in such little time.
The winger departure is currently short on quality after the departure of Pedro Neto and O’Neil cannot afford to let another quality player go in this position.
For a fee as low as €10 million, Podence should be given a chance to shine once more, especially as the manager wants to work with him in the upcoming season.
With the window set to close on Friday, fans will learn the fate of the winger sooner rather than later.
