Wolves need to sign a new striker this summer, as Vitor Pereira looks to hand competition to Jorgen Strand Larsen.
Wolves have lost Matheus Cunha already this summer, and also Pablo Sarabia, who has joined Al-Arabi after leaving as a free agent.
Goncalo Guedes and Hwang Hee-chan have also been linked with exits from Wolves, and there’s also doubt about the futures of Fabio Silva and Sasa Kalajdzic.
Silva is expected to leave Wolves permanently this summer, although he did actually fuel talk of him staying recently.
Kalajdzic has himself hinted that a loan move to a club in another league might be best for him as he returns from injury.
Wolves have been linked with a move for Yuri Alberto again this summer – and there has today been an update on the Brazilian.
Corinthians set Yuri Alberto asking price amid transfer interest from Wolves and Everton

Wolves were first linked with Alberto in January 2024.
Wolves thought they had actually agreed a deal to sign Alberto, but at the eleventh hour his agent was said to have demanded more money.
This summer the interest has been reignited.
Wolves received a blow when reports claimed Alberto wanted to stay at Corinthians, feeling that doing so would be better for his chances of making Brazil’s 2026 World Cup squad.
But it’s been reported by AS that Corinthians are ready to sell Alberto this summer, and have slapped a £17 million asking price on him.
But there is strong competition from the player, with Atletico Madrid, AS Roma and Everton all keen.
Corinthians sporting director Fabinho Soldado had said he intended to maintain Alberto, but seemingly that stance may now have changed.

Alberto would be a very positive signing by Wolves
So it seems like there could yet be a chance that Wolves will move for Alberto this summer.
Wolves are not actually mentioned in this specific report from AS, but links to the player have been fairly frequent and do stretch back to January 2024.
With strong stats from 2024 especially Alberto is surely someone Wanderers should be looking at, in order to create healthy competition in the squad.

AS point out that Alberto is the top scoring U23 player in the world since January 2024, and his ability to score goals would be very helpful now that Cunha has gone.
We will see if Wolves decide to make an approach.
But £17 million, if true, does feel a reasonable price for a reasonably prolific striker these days.
