Wolves are said to be in a battle to sign Hugo Ekitike this month – and a report has now suggested what the Bundesliga club can offer the striker.
It has been suggested that Wanderers would like to land the exciting French striker this month, after loaning out Sasa Kalajdzic and Fabio Silva.
Ekitike has not been playing at Paris Saint-Germain, appearing in the first league game of the season for just eight minutes.
He is not counted on by manager Luis Enrique and as a result, speculation has been rife about his future.
Wolves are said to be keen, and there has been a potentially interesting development this evening…
Eintracht Frankfurt can ‘only’ offer Wolves target Hugo Ekitike up to £48,000-a-week

Earlier this week it was claimed that Ekitike would be willing to slash his wages in order to secure an exit from the Parc des Prince this month.
It is thought that Ekitike – branded ‘very special’ by his old coach at Reims Oscar Garcia – is earning approximately £124,000 per week at the French giants.
Eintracht Frankfurt, who have already signed Sasa Kalajdzic on loan from Wolves this month, are thought to be very keen on Ekitike but it’s possible they do not have the financial might to sign him.
According to Bild, the German outfit ‘ would only be willing to offer him between €2.5 and €3 million per season’. That equates to between £41,000 and £48,000 per week.
Ekitike is said to be intrigued by a potential move to Eintracht and playing in the Bundesliga.
But he would be required to take a considerable pay cut to bring that particular move to fruition.
Advantage Wolves?
This claim, if true, may well hand Wolves an advantage in any pursuit of Ekitike, if he is indeed a player Gary O’Neil wants to bring to Molineux.
As an established Premier League club, Wanderers would surely be able to offer the player a greater financial package than Eintracht.
According to Spotrac, there are as many seven players who are currently earning over the £48,000-a-week Eintracht are willing to offer Ekitike, with Pablo Sarabia thought to be the top earner at Molineux on about £90,000-a-week. Kalajdzic and Silva have both just departed, potentially freeing up the wage budget a little.
We will soon see if Wolves feel that a move can be made for Ekitike, who has shown previously interest in moving to the Premier League while he was at Reims.
It may be that a move to Molineux would appeal, as he’d get to play in a league he’s a fan of, most likely earn more money in and also get decent game time.
