Wolves have sent in an opening bid of £2.5 million for Aaron Cresswell, and West Ham United are ‘not happy’ with it.
It was reported earlier today that Wanderers had made a move for the 33-year-old.
The story has rather come out of nowhere, with Wolves having a few left-back options on the books at the moment.
It is not a position that fans thought would be on the agenda this summer.
Seemingly though, Wolves are tending to the position.
There is interest in Cresswell, who is described by West Ham as a ‘committed and reliable’ player. But seemingly there is plenty of work to be done on a potential deal for Wolves.
West Ham ‘not happy’ with Wolves bid for Aaron Cresswell
According to the Guardian, Wolves have made an opening bid of £2.5 million for Cresswell.

West Ham United are ‘not happy’ with this offer.
It’s then stated that the Hammers are looking for around £5 million for the former Ipswich Town player.
It is unclear if Wolves would be willing to pay that much for a 33-year-old with just one year left on his contract.
Wolves shouldn’t pay too much more than £2.5 million
West Ham may not be happy with the first offer from Wolves for Cresswell. But Wanderers should not be offering much more than £2.5 million.
Realistically, £50,000-a-week star Cresswell would be coming in as a squad player.
He’s only got a year left at West Ham and he turns 34 at the end of the year.

West Ham’s stance is understandable, though. The two clubs are Premier League rivals, and the Hammers have already seen Craig Dawson move to Molineux and thrive.
They probably don’t want that happening with another of their players.
But Wolves are on a tight budget this summer and £5 million seems a little steep.
