Club confirm 18-year-old’s exit with emotional tribute as Wolves prepare to announce transfer

Club Libertad last night confirmed the exit of Enso Gonzalez, with the player expected to be announced as a new Wolves player today.

The youngster reportedly underwent a medical with Wolves yesterday, along with centre-back Santiago Bueno.

Gonzalez is one of a few new faces coming in right at the end of the window for Wolves.

As well as Bueno, Tommy Doyle is also signing on loan from Manchester City. Matheus Nunes, of course, is moving in the opposite direction.

There has also been talk of Habib Diarra coming in, as well as his Strasbourg teammate Jean-Ricner Bellegarde.

It will be a hectic next 24 hours or so, but it does look as though Wolves have landed Gonzalez…

Club Libertad appear to confirm Enso Gonzalez exit as Wolves ready transfer announcement

Last night, Gonzalez’s club Club Libertad confirmed that the youngster is leaving.

They wrote on Twitter: “Thank you very much Enso! From the Garden to the World to continue showing the magic with which you conquered all the GUMARELOS fans. All the effort was worth it and we want you to continue growing. Successes in this new stage…

“Freedom will always be your home!”

The club also uploaded a short montage of Gonzalez’s best moments.

Great news for Wolves as an exciting talent arrives

So it looks like an announcement from Wolves on Gonzalez is now imminent.

It’s an exciting capture by the club. As reported by the Express & Star, Gonzalez is a player who is seen by Wolves as someone who can come in and be a first-team option straight away for Gary O’Neil.

The starlet has scored three goals and two assists in 23 matches, and clearly Wolves feel he has shown enough to warrant a swoop.

Brighton struck gold with their signing of Julio Enciso from Libertad.

And hopefully Wolves are landing a player who can be just as exciting and have as much potential.
