Wolves are starting to pull up their socks in the transfer market, and Christantus Uche is next on the shopping list.
It’s been a busy start to the week at Wolves.
Ladislav Krejci is bound for his Wolves medical, and fellow La Liga star Christantus Uche looks close to following him to Molineux.
There is some mixed messaging coming from Getafe, but a deal has been agreed in principle.
And now, a fresh update from Madrid points to an imminent exit.
Christantus Uche did not train with Getafe amid Wolves links
Journalist Juancar Navacerrada has revealed that Uche didn’t train with the team following Monday night’s clash with Sevilla.
Though AC Milan were considering an offer, no reports claim one has been made, and Wolves looks like the destination of choice.
So hearing Uche hasn’t kitted out for training today strongly suggests the deal has progressed.
All that’s left is for the move to be announced, and Wolves fans will be waiting with anticipation.
Wolves set to beat Sunderland, Leeds and Burnley to Christantus Uche
Wolves have taken a lot of heat about their prospects this season, both from pundits who predict relegation, and players who aren’t convinced by the Wolves project.
But all three promoted sides were in for Uche as well, and Wolves look to have won the race.

The relegation chatter is equal parts frustrating and fair. Wolves lost key players this summer, and the void left looked worryingly huge.
But the Old Gold are moving in the right direction, and additions of quality players like Uche and Krejci should create some distance between Vitor Pereira’s side and the clubs looking to take their place in the Premier League.
