The transfer window may have closed but a fresh claim has been made about a Championship club having interest in a Wolves player.
It was a busy January for Wolves, who brought in three players in the end.
Emmanuel Agbadou arrived first from Reims, before Nasser Djiga and Marshall Munetsi came in on deadline day.
It was a positive window for Wolves, who also sanctioned the exit of Mario Lemina after he refused to play against Newcastle last month and no longer wanted to be at the club.
One player who didn’t go anywhere last month was Tommy Doyle, but the midfielder now has a club from the Championship on his tail ahead of the summer.
Sunderland interested in transfer for Wolves midfielder Tommy Doyle

According to journalist Alan Nixon via his Patreon, Sunderland are interested in signing Tommy Doyle in the summer.
Doyle has again struggled for regular minutes at Molineux this season.
He turned his move to the club permanent last summer for just over £4 million (BBC Sport) after spending a season on loan from Manchester City.
He impressed last term and will have hoped to kick on in 2024/25, but minutes have proven hard to come by.
So far, he’s made 21 appearances this season, but for only 633 minutes.
Nixon states that Sunderland want Doyle as a long-term replacement for Jobe Bellingham.
Doyle could push to leave Wolves this summer after public Vitor Pereira criticism
Unless there is a big change in the coming months, it would be unsurprising to see Doyle make a push to leave Wolves in the summer.
Doyle has been unfortunate at Wolves. He spent last season mostly playing second fiddle to Mario Lemina and Joao Gomes.
That carried on this season, but Wolves also added Andre to the squad, making life even more difficult for Doyle.

Lemina may now have left, but Wolves immediately replaced him with Marshall Munetsi, and Boubacar Traore is also back from injury now as a further option for Pereira.
Doyle was also linked with Sheffield United recently, and this growing interest in the player might just be something that encourages him to seek an exit.
Doyle was also recently the subject of some public criticism from Periera, who felt the midfielder went ‘missing’ during Wolves’ defeat to Nottingham Forest last month. The manager’s comments may not have been appreciated by Doyle.
Ultimately, Doyle is a good player who could start for a lot of other clubs. So if he can’t get the minutes at Wolves he won’t want to stick around.
