One Championship club are interested in signing two fringe players from Wolves before the transfer window closes.
We are now four weeks away from the closure of the window, and a number of players will be departing Molineux.
Only Max Kilman has left so far. But things will now pick up as Gary O’Neil trims down his squad.
There are a number of fringe players who will be on their way out, with Daniel Podence and Goncalo Guedes both having been linked with exits. Hugo Bueno has also had some interest of late.
Two more players who are likely to be departing are Ki-Jana Hoever and Luke Cundle – and one club from the English second tier could swoop for both.
Stoke City lining up new moves for Wolves duo Luke Cundle and Ki-Jana Hoever

Ki-Jana Hoever – a £13.5 million signing for Wolves four years ago – seemingly isn’t in O’Neil’s plans for 2024/25.
The club signed Pedro Lima earlier this summer, and it is expected that he will challenge Nelson Semedo at right-back. and of course, O’Neil also has Matt Doherty as an option.
Hoever had been lined up to join Sheffield United recently, but the move fell through.
Stoke are also in the mix to sign Luke Cundle, with the midfielder having a loan spell with the club in the second half of last season.
Cundle impressed for the Potters, making 16 appearances for them after leaving Plymouth Argyle.
It was claimed earlier this week that Cundle is a player who was set to leave Molineux, with minutes potentially hard to come by for Wolves if he stuck around.
A good move for both
It would be a good move for both Hoever and Cundle to return to Stoke. Both players impressed last season and they obviously know how the team plays.
Cundle is especially familiar with Steve Schumacher, who had the midfielder at Plymouth before becoming Stoke manager last December.
It will be interesting to see if the duo would make loan moves or permanent ones.
Both have contracts at Molineux until the summer of 2026, so this would be a good opportunity for Wolves to cash in, as their market values may be lower this time next year.
It is possible that other clubs could come in for Hoever and Cundle this summer, but hopefully, wherever they end up playing this season, they will thrive.
