Champions League outfit want Wolves star amid speculation surrounding his future

Wolves may face a battle to keep one of its stars after another Champions League club entered the race for his signature.

Despite the fairly quiet past few weeks in the transfer window, there are plenty of rumours surrounding the potential incomings and outgoings at Molineux

Both Goncalo Guedes and Yerson Mosquera were linked back to Villarreal permanently while Marseille were reportedly interested in Hwang Hee-Chan.

On top of this, another player who has been linked away is Hugo Bueno. The Spaniard struggled for game time last season due to the form of Rayan Ait-Nouri.

As a result, Celtic were believed to be pursuing a loan move for Hugo Bueno ready for the upcoming campaign. However, the Scottish giants may now face competition as another team enters the fold.

It is currently unclear where Hugo Bueno’s future lies. The wing-back has little chance of consistent first-team football this campaign with Ait-Nouri now a guaranteed starter.

After Celtic’s bid for the Spaniard, it was reported that Wolves were still undecided whether to send him out on loan

However, now a permanent move away from Molineux could become a reality for Hugo Bueno.

According to 1908.nl, Champions League outfit Feyenoord are looking to bring the wing-back into the club this summer.

The Dutch side are aiming to bring in Hugo Bueno initially on loan but with an option to buy in the deal.

Initial contacts with the player and his management have been made and now the two clubs need to reach an agreement.

Wolves cannot let Hugo Bueno go permanently

Hugo Bueno’s talent is there for all to see. The wing-back is still only 21 years old and can already hold his own against Premier League sides.

With multiple Champions League clubs now after the youngster, it is clear that he has the potential to become a vital player.

Therefore, Wolves need to harness that ability rather than push him away. A loan move could prove to be extremely beneficial for Hugo Bueno, however, a permanent move is unthinkable.

With Ait-Nouri consistently linked away from the club, Wolves already have his potential heir. By selling him, it would mean that Gary O’Neil would need to dip into the market again for a position the side is arguably the strongest in.

Hopefully, Wolves can ride the wave and ensure the wing-back does not leave on a permanent basis this window.
