It has been a quiet start to transfer deadline day for Wolves, and it looks like there could be a lot of work to do to sign one midfielder on the club’s radar.
Wolves are expected to soon confirm the signing of striker Tolu Arokodare, who flew to the UK yesterday to finalise his move to Molineux from Genk.
But Vitor Pereira also wants to sign a midfielder today.
Hayden Hackney is on Wolves’ radar. However, Middlesbrough are expected to stand firm over the 24-year-old.
Josh Brownhill has also been in talks with Wolves, but since he’s a free agent he might not move until after the deadline, with several other clubs interested.
Nicolas Raskin is also being monitored by Wolves. But there has just been an update on the Belgian midfielder suggesting Wanderers aren’t anywhere close to signing him at the moment.
Wolves monitoring Nicolas Raskin, but FC Copenhagen now in the hunt

Raskin could be leaving Rangers today, after he was left out of their squad to face Celtic at the weekend.
The midfielder has been the subject of speculation this summer, and now the situation is hotting up on deadline day.
Wolves have been credited with a late interest in him, with Crystal Palace also mentioned as monitoring him.
But they are not the club to take the initiative. In the last hour, it’s been reported by Danish publication Bold that FC Copenhagen are now attempting to convince Raskin to join them.
Their sporting director Sune Smith-Nielsen is said to be working ‘intensely’ right now to land several players, with Raskin one of them.
This morning it was suggested by two journalists from the Daily Record – Keith Jackson and Michael Gannon, that there is ‘no way back’ for Raskin at Ibrox amid a strained relationship with Russell Martin.
The suggestion has been that he may be sold today for a ‘knock-down’ fee
Copenhagen can offer Raskin Champions League football
There haven’t been any big indications that Wolves will definitely swoop for Raskin today.
Given the make-up of Wolves’ current squad, another non-homegrown player would have to leave to make space for any move for Raskin to be possible.
That is why a move for Brownhill or Hackney is probably more realistic at the moment.
Even if Wolves were in a position to make a move, Raskin could well be very tempted by Copenhagen anyway, as they can offer Champions League football.
They came through their qualifiers recently to make it through to the League Phase, something Rangers failed to do after they were thrashed by Club Brugge.
That would have been a blow for Raskin, but he may now have the chance to still play in Europe’s top club competition.
