It is fair to say that it hasn’t really worked out for Carlos Forbs so far at Wolves.
Forbs arrived at the club as the final signing on deadline day last summer, with interest in the player having first been reported a few weeks before when Pedro Neto was being sold to Chelsea.
Forbs’ arrival excited fans.
While he hadn’t massively impressed at Ajax, his goalscoring exploits in the Manchester City academy definitely had people ready to get behind him and his potential.
Forbs signed on loan, but so far the winger has failed to impress at Molineux.
He’s found opportunities hard to come by up to now, having made just 10 appearances. Most of those have been from the bench. In fact, Forbs has started just one game so far, which was the 5-3 defeat to Brentford.
Now, a claim has been made about Forbs that casts major doubt on him being a long-term player at Wolves.
Carlos Forbs must make considerable number of appearances to earn permanent Wolves transfer

According to a report from the E&S, Forbs has a lot of work to do if he is to force Wolves to sign him permanently.
Jorgen Strand Larsen has now earned a permanent move to Wolves after playing the number of games required for the club to pay Celta Vigo £23 million.
The Norwegian has made 20 league appearances, plus a further two in the cups.
But in order for Forbs to sign permanently, it’s stated he’ll have to make a ‘much higher’ number of appearances than this.
It’s not stated exactly how many, but claims of Forbs needing to make 10 appearances to make a permanent move to Wolves were seemingly wide of the mark.
Forbs need drastic turnaround to seal permanent Wolves transfer
This development, if true, casts real doubt on Forbs being at Wolves next season.
He has been a real disappointment so far, although he hasn’t had a great deal of game time since his move.
But that might be because he just hasn’t been doing enough in training to warrant opportunities, which would be a shame.

The arrival of Pereira hasn’t really prompted any change in his situation, with the likes of Matheus Cunha, Goncalo Guedes, Hwang Hee-chan, Rodrigo Gomes, Pablo Sarabia and arguably Jean-Ricner Bellegarde all ahead of him in the pecking order.
Wolves can sign Forbs for around £11.3 million next summer if he plays the required number of games. But currently, the prospect of that happening seems a world away.
Quite simply, Forbs has a huge amount to do in the second half of the season if we’re to see him again next term.
