Wolves will be hopeful they can retain their top-flight status in time for the summer transfer window.
The Old Gold had a busy mid-season window. Wolves were the second-highest spenders in the January transfer window, and could be just as busy in the next one.
Vitor Pereira has a handful of players who will be Wolves free-agents in May, and one is attracting interest from former manager Bruno Lage.

Bruno Lage wants to be reunited with Wolves star
Lage was Wolves manager for just one year in 2021. He left Molineux after just 51 games in charge. Now with Benfica, and just three points off Sporting Lisbon but with a game-in-hand, the 48-year-old is in contention to win the Primeira Liga.
And looking to raid his former club in time for next season, Lage, according to Record (via Sports Witness), would like to re-sign Nelson Semedo.
The Portuguese full-back is in the final few months of his contract and has yet to be offered a renewed deal. As a result, there is a concrete possibility that the Wolves captain moves on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.
Nelson Semedo “open” to Benfica return
Semedo spent five years at Benfica. The 31-year-old made 65 appearances for The Eagles’ first team before joining Barcelona in 2017.
Linked in the past with making a return to the Estadio da Luz, Semedo has always spoken fondly about his former side.
Speaking to Eleven Sports in April 2023 about the prospect of rejoining Benfica, Semedo, as quoted by Sports Witness, said: “I already mentioned that it would be good to be able to return to Benfica, I leave the doors always open.”
Lage played Wolves’ number 22 in 35 matches, in all competitions, during his time with Wolves and will be key to negotiations. His significant influence could be the deciding factor in the full-back returning to his old stomping ground.
