The 2025 summer transfer window is threatening to turn into a very forgettable one for Wolves.
So far, it’s just two new players through the door, with a host of exits.
It was always likely that several players would leave the club, especially the likes of Matheus Cunha, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Pablo Sarabia and Nelson Semedo.
But few anticipated such an exodus, and the newly restructured Wolves recruitment division has its work cut out to deliver for Vitor Pereira.
A number of positions are still in need of some attention.
A new striker is thought to be on the agenda and earlier today, Wolves were linked with a move for Croatian striker Franjo Ivanovic.
But it appears Wolves have been beaten to the player before a bid could even go in.
Wolves lose out on Franjo Ivanovic with striker set for Benfica

Supposedly Wolves were ready to make an offer for Ivanovic, despite Benfica being in pole position.
But speed was potentially going to be key for Wolves, because it was claimed that an agreement between Union Saint-Gilloise and Benfica wasn’t far away.
And in the last hours, with Wolves threatening to get involved, it appears the two clubs were able to come to an agreement for the player’s transfer.
Journalist Sacha Tavolieri reports on X this afternoon: “EXCLUSIVE: Franjo Ivanovic to SL Benfica is a DONE DEAL!
“Benfica & Union St. Gilloise found a deal today for the Croatian striker worth €25m (just under £22m).
“Ivanovic has a flight scheduled today for Portugal and will complete his medical tests on Wednesday.”
Tavolieri says the striker will put pen to paper on a three-year deal, in what is a triumph for Bruno Lage over his former club.

Wolves may turn to Mihailo Ivanovic
Although it’s not quite on the same level as the collapse of the Marc Pubill transfer, this is still yet more transfer frustration for Wolves fans, who it seems cannot enjoy a rumour for even five minutes before it is shot down.
One now wonders if Wolves might go in for Ivanovic’s namesake Mihailo from Millwall.
Mihailo Ivanovic is also of interest to Wolves after he impressed in his debut season in the Championship.
Millwall have slapped a £15 million asking price on him though, which may price Wanderers out of a move.
That said, time is now really of the essence for Wolves so perhaps Molineux officials will intensify that particular pursuit.
