Wolves kick-started their summer transfer business with the signing of Fer Lopez from Celta Vigo on Friday afternoon.
Lopez signed a five-year contract at Molineux after a £19.5 million transfer was agreed earlier this week.
The 21-year-old arrives at Wolves with huge potential, and one Celta Vigo expert has already compared Lopez to Real Madrid superstar Jude Bellingham.
But whilst supporters are excited about watching their new signing in 2025/26, the Wanderers have plenty more irons in the fire.
Not only do they need to find further reinforcements to replace Rayan Ait-Nouri and Matheus Cunha, but they also need a right-back with Nelson Semedo’s contract expiring.

Wolves fans urge Fosun to sign Kyle Walker-Peters
It’s 10 days till Semedo is officially a free agent, but the Portuguese is still in no rush to decide his next move.
Speaking after Portugal won the Nations League two weeks ago, Semedo said he needed ‘time’ to make his decision, leaving Wolves in the dark over his future.
As it stands, Pereira’s captain will be leaving the club after 182 appearances and five years at Molineux, with a replacement already being eyed.
Wolves are targeting Southampton star Kyle Walker-Peters on a free transfer, but despite his preference being a move to Tottenham, supporters have urged Fosun to get a deal done.
“Very underrated player. Experienced head who won’t expect to play every match. On a free and modest wages. No brainer,” one fan wrote.
“Great option and experienced in the prem. Also, a freebie but wages and signing in fees, but provides good attacking options,” someone else stated.
“Would be all over this free too no brainer,” a third replied.
“Good player, sign him up,” another said while a sixth commented: “Surely a no brainer imo. Frees up budget and also takes pressure off the homegrown/registration rules. Feels sensible as splashing big on a new rwb could hold back the progress of Rodrigo/Lima too.”
“We love penny pinching so surely we are all over this,” someone else suggested.
Russell Martin’s praise for Walker-Peters
Walker-Peters is the perfect replacement for Semedo on paper. He’s entering his prime years, excellent going forward and boasts invaluable Premier League experience.
The 28-year-old would also be a bargain on a free transfer, and that is an opinion surely shared by former boss Ralph Hasenhuttl, who compared Walker-Peters to Philip Lahm in 2022.
“We brought Kyle on the 10, a good opportunity and the first time we did it this way. I think this can be also something for the future,” Hasenhuttl said.
“Kyle is an unbelievably smart footballer with a super football intelligence. He plays, left-back, right-back and now on the 10.
“In the sessions sometimes he plays six also, so he can play every position.
“He remembers me a little bit of Phillipp Lahm I must say, because he is so good on the ball, he always has good decisions. He can run and makes nearly any mistakes.
